Treatment time

The duration of your Invisalign treatment could be anywhere between 6 - 18 months, depending on your desired results and how far your teeth need to be moved. Our dentists in Kings Cross and Euston will work with you to create an Invisalign treatment plan that suits your goals and your lifestyle.

The benefits of Invisalign

How our teeth grow and develop depends largely on genetics. Someone with a small jaw will often experience crooked, overlapping teeth because there isn’t enough room for their teeth, so they begin to compete for space in the mouth. On the other end of the spectrum, someone with a large jaw might experience gaps in their teeth because there’s too much space to fill.

Luckily, Invisalign is here to help people who want to enhance their smile, without anyone knowing they’re having dental treatment! Not only is Invisalign a good option for people who want to correct their teeth without having obvious metal braces that affect their appearance; they can be taken out to eat, so you don’t have to make any major adjustments to your social life.

  • Bespoke, professional treatment plan
  • Advanced 3-D imaging technology
  • Clear, almost invisible aligners
  • Comfortable and removable
  • Boosts your self-confidence
  • Improves teeth and gum health

I couldn't be happier.  I now look forward to going to the dentist - it's a miracle!  The staff, especially Evgenia, couldn't be more helpful.  This is by far the best dental practice I have ever been to.  Couldn't recommend them more highly!

Your dental smiles journey

Our goal is to give our patients the very best dental experience, every single time.

Free initial consultation

You’ll have a free consultation with one of our friendly treatment coordinators to see whether Invisalign is right for you. We’ll discuss your smile transformation goals, you’ll have the chance to ask any questions, and you’ll be booked in to see one of our experienced dentists to begin your Invisalign journey.

3D
scanning

At your next appointment, your dentist will take a 3D digital scan of your teeth using specialist Invisalign software, so you can see what your teeth will look like when your treatment is finished. Using the Invisalign tooth movement software, you’ll also get an estimate of the length of your Invisalign treatment.

Bespoke treatment

Your scan information is used to create a series of clear aligners that are custom-made for your teeth, which work to gently move them at a slow, sustainable pace. Each aligner is worn for about two weeks for 22 hours per day, before being replaced by the next one in the series until the final position of your teeth is achieved.

Maintain your dream smile

Once your teeth have reached their goal position, it’s time to enjoy your lovely new straight teeth! Now that you’ve put in the effort to transform your smile, you’ll need to maintain it, so we recommend that you wear a custom-made retainer part-time which will help to keep your teeth in their new position – hopefully for a lifetime.

How to get the most out of your Invisalign treatment

Invisalign is a great option for people who want to discreetly straighten their teeth, but the treatment success depends on how closely you follow your treatment plan. You need to wear your aligners for a certain amount of time each day, and make sure your teeth and your aligners are kept exceptionally clean, to keep any bacteria at bay.

As long as you follow your unique Invisalign treatment plan from your dentist, you’ll have the smile you’ve always dreamed of in no time at all!

To give yourself the best chance of a successful Invisalign treatment, make sure you:

1

Wear your aligners for 22 hours each day, except for when you’re eating.

2

Brush and floss everyday to keep your teeth and gums clean and healthy.

3

Clean your aligners daily to get rid of any trapped food and bacteria.

4

Rinse your mouth thoroughly after eating to avoid staining your aligners.

5

Wear a post treatment retainer to prevent your teeth from moving back.

Frequently asked questions about Invisalign at Dental Smiles London

  • How does Invisalign compare to traditional braces?

Whilst both Invisalign and traditional braces are great teeth straightening treatments, it depends on your unique situation, including the current position of your teeth and the results you want to achieve. The obvious difference is their appearance – Invisalign aligners are clear trays that snugly fit around all your teeth and are removable, whereas braces are often metal brackets semi-permanently attached to the teeth and connected with rubber bands and wire. We recommend that you talk to your dentist about the teeth straightening option that’s right for your circumstances.

  • Are Invisalign aligners safe for me?

Yes! Invisalign has been trusted by more than 12 million people all over the world to transform their smiles. Invisalign clear aligners are perfectly safe; made from patented medical-grade SmartTrack material which has been FDA approved for long term use inside the human body.

  • How much does Invisalign cost?

Invisalign treatment at Dental Smiles London starts at £3,800, and the full treatment cost will depend on your unique treatment plan. We offer 0% interest, no deposit finance plans to help spread out the cost of your treatment, and you can come to us for a no obligation, free Invisalign consultation to see if it’s right for you.

  • Will Invisalign affect my speech?

Invisalign aligners are very thin, but your teeth will still feel a bit thicker than normal. This means that initially it might affect your speech, but you’ll quickly get used to how it feels and be able to speak as you normally would.

  • Can I eat while wearing my aligners?

No, chewing whilst wearing your Invisalign aligners can cause damage to them, and certain foods can also stain the aligners, so we recommend you only consume plain water whilst you’re wearing your aligners. You should remove your aligners when you’re eating food and drinking any coloured beverages.

  • How often do I have to wear my aligners?

You should wear your Invisalign aligners for 22 hours each day, otherwise your treatment could end up taking longer than projected. This means you should wear your aligners at all times, except for when you’re eating.

  • Can I get Invisalign treatment if I’ve had dental restorations or orthodontic work in the past?

In most cases, yes! The Invisalign aligners won’t harm any dental restorations such as crowns. Some types of dental restorations, like bridges and dental implants, can complicate orthodontic treatment, so your dentist will let you know if Invisalign will still work for you. Invisalign aligners are a great option for people who have had orthodontic work in the past, to correct any teeth movement since the treatment.
