Often the go-to treatment for that movie star smile, dental Veneers are extremely thin layers of tooth coloured material, usually made from porcelain or sometimes resin composites. Veneers are used to cover discoloured teeth if whitening treatment doesn’t work, restore a broken tooth, or close gaps and align crooked teeth. At Dental Smiles London, your veneers are custom-made to fit each individual tooth, and our dentists use the most advanced techniques to ensure your veneers are as natural looking as possible.

It’s not often you can say that you loved going to the dentist, but with Dental Smiles I really did! Not only was the service exceptional and the environment clean and well equipped but the staff were, and are, fabulous, friendly, professional and courteous. This for me is the winning factor: a kind, welcoming staff who appreciate and care for you.
Your smile can be transformed within two weeks! Your journey to dental veneers with us involves a free initial consultation and then two appointments; the first to prepare your teeth, and the second to have your veneers fitted. Rest assured, our dentists in Kings Cross and Euston will make sure you have a safe and comfortable teeth whitening experience.
Your free consultation is where you can discuss what you want to achieve with dental veneers. Your dentist will discuss your options with you and take any x-rays or impressions that are needed, and book in your preparation and fitting appointments.
This visit is to prepare your teeth and place temporary veneers if needed. This involves a small amount of enamel being removed so the veneers can be fitted and the teeth stay the same size. A mould of your teeth will then be used to make your veneers.
On the second visit your veneers will be fitted, and you’ll also see a technician to make sure the colour of your veneers nicely match the colour of your teeth. The dentist might also ask you to come back for a review to make sure everything looks and feels as it should.
Congratulations on your new smile! Although porcelain is a strong material, you’ll need to look after your veneers with daily brushing and flossing, regular dental hygienist visits, and being careful when eating certain foods that could damage them.
Our veneers start at £1,100. We want as many people as possible to achieve the amazing smile they’ve always wanted, so we offer a range of payment instalment options. See our pricing page for more information.
To prepare your teeth for veneers, we need to remove a small amount of dental enamel so the veneers will fit over your teeth and they’ll all remain the same size – a straightforward procedure. Your dentist will then take a mould of your prepared teeth ready for their veneers, and this is used to make them. Your veneers are then fitted securely over the top of your prepared teeth once they’re ready.
In general, veneers should be expected to last between five and ten years after which time they may need to be replaced.
Porcelain veneers are very strong and you can still eat most things, but you do need to be a bit careful when eating hard foods that could potentially crack or damage your teeth!
You can have teeth whitening treatment if you have veneers, but it’s only your natural teeth that will absorb the whitening pigment. This means there could end up being a difference in colour between your natural teeth, and your teeth that have veneers. Don’t worry, you can talk to us about what your options might be in this instance, and we’ll help you find a solution.
