NHS services at Dental Smiles London

Healthy teeth and gums for life and good oral hygiene are important, and we firmly believe that everyone should have access to good quality, NHS dental services at a reasonable cost. Please note: Currently, we’re not taking on new NHS patients.

NHS or private

Whilst we want to help as many patients as we can, there are differences between NHS and private services we offer. For example, we have a wider range of dental treatments and a more extensive range of materials on offer for private patients, whereas NHS services are limited to what is publicly funded. Before you begin a course of treatment, make sure you know if you’re being treated privately or as an NHS patient, because this is likely to affect the price you pay and appointment availability.

The choice between NHS and private dental treatment is yours. If you’re unsure about the most suitable route, we can explain the differences so that you’re able to make an informed choice for you and your family.

NHS dental treatment costs

We want as many people as possible to be able to access high quality dental care, so we offer some NHS funded dental treatments. Unfortunately NHS dentistry is not free for everyone, and the services and fees are defined by the NHS, and split into 3 different bands.

Band 1

£23.80

  • A dental examination
  • Diagnosis, advice, and X-rays
  • Teeth cleaning and basic dental hygiene
  • Treatment plan if further treatment is needed
  • Urgent dental care

Your urgent dental care will be covered on the day it takes place, but future non-urgent treatments will fall under the relevant NHS treatment band.

Band 2

£65.20

  • Everything in Band 1
  • Root canals
  • Fillings
  • Teeth extractions/removal

Band 3

£282.80

  • Everything in Bands 1 and 2
  • Crowns
  • Bridges
  • Dentures

I have had amazing experience after amazing experience here. The team are lovely, and this is by far the best dental practitioner I've ever been to. Eva Taaffe is exceptional - puts all nerves at ease and is very knowledgeable and excellent at explaining things, Kadia is excellent too! Just had 2 fillings done and they were so easy and painless, super delighted.
