Have been with the practice for more than 6 years and would recommend for everyone! The people here make going to the dentist a much more enjoyable experience.
Healthy teeth and gums for life and good oral hygiene are important, and we firmly believe that everyone should have access to good quality, NHS dental services at a reasonable cost. Please note: Currently, we’re not taking on new NHS patients.
Whilst we want to help as many patients as we can, there are differences between NHS and private services we offer. For example, we have a wider range of dental treatments and a more extensive range of materials on offer for private patients, whereas NHS services are limited to what is publicly funded. Before you begin a course of treatment, make sure you know if you’re being treated privately or as an NHS patient, because this is likely to affect the price you pay and appointment availability.
The choice between NHS and private dental treatment is yours. If you’re unsure about the most suitable route, we can explain the differences so that you’re able to make an informed choice for you and your family.
We want as many people as possible to be able to access high quality dental care, so we offer some NHS funded dental treatments. Unfortunately NHS dentistry is not free for everyone, and the services and fees are defined by the NHS, and split into 3 different bands.
Your urgent dental care will be covered on the day it takes place, but future non-urgent treatments will fall under the relevant NHS treatment band.
We provide NHS services at our Chalton Street practice in Euston.
You also don’t have to pay for the removal of sutures after an appointment, denture repairs, or a prescription for medication from your dentist.
If you want to find out more about the cosmetic dentistry we offer privately, your dentist will be more than happy to discuss these treatments with you.
You don’t have to pay for NHS dental treatment if you’re:
You’ll need written proof that you don’t have to pay for all or part of your NHS dental treatment when you visit us at Dental Smiles London.
I have had amazing experience after amazing experience here. The team are lovely, and this is by far the best dental practitioner I've ever been to. Eva Taaffe is exceptional - puts all nerves at ease and is very knowledgeable and excellent at explaining things, Kadia is excellent too! Just had 2 fillings done and they were so easy and painless, super delighted.
To book an appointment with us covered all or partly by the NHS (based on the treatment and extent of the work), contact us and let us know that you’re interested in an NHS treatment so we know how to best help you.
How NHS treatments work at Dental Smiles London:
Your first appointment will often (but not always) include a dental examination and X-rays, which are covered under band 1 NHS pricing.
During this appointment, we’ll perform an oral health assessment, and treat what we can. If further dental treatment is needed and covered under bands 2 or 3, we’ll discuss the treatments and alternatives available to you.
If we’ve developed a treatment plan for you, we’ll book you in for your future appointments, and make sure you thoroughly understand everything before going ahead.
